Who IUI can help
IUI may be considered for unexplained infertility, mild male-factor findings, cervical factor, or after ovulation induction. It is less suitable when both tubes are blocked or sperm counts are very low. That is why we start with history, examination, ultrasound and labs — not with a booked slot alone.
What happens during an IUI cycle
The cycle may be natural or medicated. Follicles are tracked. Around ovulation, sperm is washed and placed in the uterus. The procedure itself takes minutes. IUI compared with IVF
IUI does not retrieve eggs or create embryos in the lab. If several well-timed IUI cycles do not succeed, or if age and test results point to a lower chance, we discuss IVF and infertility treatment, including natural cycle IVF where appropriate.
